Pale green cloth over boards with black titles and illustration. This book contains two novels in one by Otis Shackelford -- Lillian Simmons and Seeking the Best. I can find little information on Shackelford. He was a novelist/essayist who seems to have been a devotee of Booker T. Washington. His books are described as a cross between fiction and essay that promote the idea of what Professor Ibram X.
