Jimmie Martin's rousing Grand Ole Opry Song on the Will the Circle Be Unbroken (by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band) has the line"There'll be Lonzo and Oscar a-poppin' bubble gum." This folio has many photos of the two performers plus Tommy Warren and Cousin Jody. There are also lyrics to many of their songs including "Give Me An R. C. Cola and a Moon Pie." This is a special Picture Program from the Grand Ole Opry featuring the comic singing duo of Lonzo and Oscar. The program has a several pages devoted to the comedy pair and ten others with full-page pictures of country stars like Minnie Pearl, Ernest Tubb, Webb Pierce and others. The program has only light edge and corner wear but also has an ink inscription on the front, which dates it to 1959, and a good bit of glue residue on the back where something was glued down. This is a small archive of B&W Photographs Grand Ole Opry comedy stars collected by a country music fan in the 1950' and 1960's. There are two publicity shots, one a 5X7 autographed by both Lonzo and Oscar and the other a post card that shows the duo and reads "Courtesy of Royal Crown Cola" -- the two recorded "Give me a Moon Pie and an R. C. Cola." The other ten photos are snapshots taken by the fan that show the pair both on and off stage. Most of these were from a Brownie camera and are 3.5" square, though sizes vary.
