This is John Cage's most famous composition, 4'33". I'm not really sure what this means, but maybe music scholars out there will. The pianist sits at the piano for four minutes and 33 seconds and does not hit a single note. He times himself with a stopwatch and the silence make be broken up into smaller segments. The pianist can't play it too fast or slow, too soft or loud - there's no room for interpretation. (Maybe I could do this!) Whatever the listener hears during the 4'33" is a matter of chance, but you can be sure that nothing you hear was written by Cage. Got that? The folder is new. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 4 pages
