Autograph and photograph are matted to 11x14. ; B&W Photograph; Folio 13" - 23" tall; 1 pages; This autographed photo came from the collection of Walter Glenn, Atlanta businessman (Geode at Lenox Square) and music collector. The autographs were obtained personally by Glenn who then had each custom framed for display. The display is not dated but is ca.1980. John Lee Hooker (1917-2001) was born in Coahoma County, Mississippi, near Clarksdale. He developed a distinctive boogie-woogie guitar style somewhat atypical of Mississippi blues players. He lived many years in Detroit becoming most popular in the 1970's and on. At the time of his death he was still quite popular and influential.
