Signed by French novelist and Cultural Affairs Minister, Andre Malraux, this is a John F. Kennedy First Day Cover from 1964. The stamp was issued as a memorial tribute to Kennedy. Malraux was a member of the French Resistance during WWII who later became Minister of Culture under Charles de Gaulle. Malraux was also a novelist and art critic. The connection to Kennedy seems highly appropriate.
