Light brown, leatherette over boards with gilt titles on spine. Light wear on edges and corners along with mild aging. Square and securely bound. Jacket also has light wear with a light smudge near the bottom of the spine and some age-toning. Originally from Virginia and New Jersey, Gholson was a wll-known African-American minister in Winston Salem NC. Gholson at different times, pastored First Baptist Church, First Institutional Baptist Church (which merged with the West End Baptist Church to become United Metropolitan Baptist Church) and Holy Trinity Baptist Church, all in Winston-Salem. In this book he considers the raciel situation in the South and discusses the ways the church and African-Americans can deal with the problems.
