Book has yellow cloth over boards with very light wear. Overall about near fine. Jacket at first glance appears also to be near fine but has some small light scuffs on spine with the most noticeable ones at the bottom of spine. Please see scan. This book concerns a young black girl who moves from a Southern college town to a Northern industrial center. It deals tangentially with Civil Rights but more on the child. This is a well-known volume aimed originally at 9-12 year olds. It is quite hard to find autographed and in a nice dustjacket .
