This letter and the accompanying report are NF except for expected age-toning on paper. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 4 pages; This is a synopsis of the Report of the Sibley Committee which had been appointed by Georgia Governor Earnest Vandiver to study Georgia's response to court-ordered integration in the Atlanta Public Schools. The report offered a mild movement to integration but it, along with the peaceful integration of the University of Georgia, kept the public schools open and ended massive resistance by the state against integration. The Sibley plan did provide ways that many systems were able to forestall integration for several years. ; Signed by Author
