Brief gift inscription on ffep and very light toning of interior pages. Emma Bell Miles lived on Signal Mountain near Chattanooga TN. She was a wrote fiction, poetry, essays and articles. She was also an artist. (She did both text and illustrations for this volume.) Our Southern Birds shows her wide-ranging interests. The book was written as a textbook and was published with a library-tyle binding. This is not from a library or a school. It was purchased and given as a gift.
