Full calf leather (appears to be original binding)with titles on spine in red and black panels aith small decorations. Five raised bands on spine. There is significant scuffing at bottom of front and rear. See scans. Corners bumped with boards showing. Volume is square and securely bound. Interior is quite attractive with almost no foxing or toning. Front and rear pastedowns are partially lifted from boards. Could easily be laid back down. Overall, this is a solid copy with an excellent text block. There appear to be a number of printings or editions of Swift's Works done around 1755 by these publishers. This appears to be one book of twelve, if I understand correctly that the set was made up of six volumes each having two parts. This is Vol. VI, Part I. This set was published only ten years after Swift's death, the same year as the 1st edition of Samuel Johnson's Dictionary. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 218 pages
