Annual publication from Morris Harvey College (now the College of Charleston) , featuring poets from the Appalachians or poems with connections to the mountains. Many of the contributors signed this issue at their poems. Nobel Laureate Pearl S. Buck wrote the Foreword to this issue. She signed on the title page and underneath her photograph with a brief inscription. A number of poets signed on the front wrap: Muriel Miller Dressler, Arthur C. Buck, William Plumley, Carl Bode (somewhat smeared) , John Foster West, Maureen Milicia, Janet Smith, Marale Davis, Lucye Rider Snyder, and Louise McNeil. Other poets igned by their poems: XJ Kennedy (2X) , Richard Eberhardt, Lee Pennington, Jesse Stuart, Hollis Summers, and Carl Bode.
