This is a rebind of the 1841 printing of this biography of Marion. The binding is in a reddish-maroon cloth with gilt titles on the spine, probably done a few decades ago. The interior pages are evenly and mildly toned. Square and securely bound -- a solid and attractive copy. ; B&W Illustrations; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 252 pages; Horry's and Weems biography of Marion was first published in 1814. It proved extremely popular and went through many editions and printings.
