Brick red covers with gilt lettering on spine. Minor edge and corner wear along with light general aging. Only problem is sunning and mottling on spine affecting readability of title slightly. Front foredge has several small dark stains that do not affect the interior. The book is square and the binding is secure. Solid copy. Fasola singing is more often referred to as "Shape-Note or Shaped-Note Singing" today; it was briefly popularized in the movie "Cold Mountain."
