Bilbrew also worked for Will Eisner (Mad Magazine) and replaced Jules Feiffer as artist for the comic strip, Clifford. Bilbrew became addicted to heroin, lost his jobs with major publishers and began doing highly risque work for fetish magazines and sleaze book covers. Bilbrew covers are sought after.
