It is further signed with a long, heartfelt inscription to Robert Hawley who ran the Oyez Press for many years and published some of Charters' work. This book seems to have been a long term project for Charters and Hawley. Nice signatures and associations. We also have a signed proof copy of this book. Charters is most famous for his writing on music, especially blues and early jazz, but he is also a prolific poet, novelist, essayist and translator of Swedish. This book is a lyrical account of a year in the countryside of near New London, New Hampshire. Part poetry, part prose. ; Signed by Author
