Beige cloth over boards with black titles on spine. Book is square and securely bound, but there has been some sort of damp stain at the bottom of spine affecting front and rear covers and, very lightly, the spine gutter on most interior pages. ; B&W Photographs; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 103 pages; This autobiography is of particular interest because of a photograph that shows African-Americans praying at one of Rev. Keyes' Brush Arbor services (he was white) in North Carolina in the 1940's or 1950's and for the chapter on snake handlers, whom Hayes witnessed in North Carolina and Kentucky. Often fascinating book.
