Paper is tan so it's hard to determine how toned it is. There is light wear to the edges and the paper has been folded horizontally, but is is really in nice shape for a throwaway item. The Capitol Theatre in Portsmouth, Virginia was one of three black theaters owned by the Lichtman Company. It opened in 1925 and was notable for the live stage shows presented there, including such stars as Louis Armstrong and Sarah Vaughn. It has been hard to find information on the Southern Troubadous (sic) . They must have been a black minstrel group and featured some local performers, with comedy, dancing and singing. The broadside is not dated but is probably around 1930. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 1 pages
