Later leather binding with stamped design on front, five rolled bands on spine with gilt title in red square. Some wear on edges and corners , possible reinforcement of front hinge. Interior toning though not heavy. Ornate, armorial bookplate on front pastedown from the House of Abercairny. More modern bookplate on rear pastedown. Book is square but front hinge is suspicious. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 135, 240, 120 pages; This book is in Latin and I'm not sure of the translation. I think the book deals with the origins of laws but I'm unsure of "Pomponii." Few copies of this work are listed on-line. One that has been scanned was owned by John Adams. No other copies are offered for sale. This is an attractive 17th century work.
