Brown, leather-like covers, lightly embossed with gilt title and decorations on spine. Front has areas where cover has been worn or scraped away (see scan) , but with only a couple of minor spots on back. This damage is possibly from moths or insects. There is light edge wear and bumped corners but the book is square and the binding is secure. Ownershi p name in ink on ffep (a church) and some pencil notations on the second free endpaper. Overall, a sound copy of a cheaply printed older Tennessee imprint. The Dairyman's Daughter is a religious/moral tale that was published as early as the start of the 19th century.
