L. V. H. Crosby was a composer of popular music in the early 19th century. Luleanna is a paean to a girl of that name, a name probably chosen because it rhymes with Susquhanna, which is used as part of Crosby's elaborate metaphor in the song. The cover notes that this number was sung by Peel's Campbell Minstrels, one of many New England minstrel companies in the first half of the 19th century. This copy has generally light wear with expected aging. It has been disbound from a larger volume. It is still held together but requires some attention when handling. WorldCat locates only two copies in libraries.; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 6 with covers pages
