Black cloth with gilt titles. This copy has very light wear and expected aging. VG+ to NF. The dust wrapper has suffered some damage and has been carefully taped back together with loss on spine and top edge. There are also a couple of smal stains on top corners. Overall, the jacket is presentable (with losses) but is only fair. This copy is signed in green ink, with an inscription, on the title page and there is a four line verse in the Princess's hand on the ffep. Princess Woxie Hatchee was the pseudonym of Ruby Pearl Patterson who, having been introduced to the Everglades by naturalist, John Paul Clarke, became inspired not only to study the Glades but to create poetry about them.
