These two B&W, 3 1/2 X 5 (approx.) snapshots have only light wear on the margins. Near fine. The photographs, taken by a young country music fan, show Jimmy James and others in performance on one of the WLS country radio shows. Jones was both a musician and a comedian. He started on WMMN in Fairmont, West Virginia as a trombone (?!) player with the Blue Ridge Ramblers and the Hickory Nuts. By the time he came to WLS after WWII, he was mainly a comedian. These are unique and evocative photographs from a time when WLS was a major source of countrified entertainment. ; B&W Photographs; 48mo 3½" - 4" tall; 2 pages
