This small volume has a brick red, leather-like backstrip and a patterned paper over boards. There is a tipped on paper label with the title on the front that does not appear to be original. The book has some edge, corner and surface wear. The front hinge is torn but the cord binding still holds. The book is square. I'm not sure exactly what this little volume is. David Brainerd, missionary to the Cherokees in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area, wrote an over 500-page memoir. This small volume says it was prepared by a Sunday-School Teacher and Revised by the Committee of Publications. It seems to be a much abridged version of Brainerd's original work. ; B&W Frontispiece; 24mo 5" - 6" tall; 141 pages
