Book Condition: Near Fine in Very Good dust jacket

Book has only very light shelf wear. Jacket has light edge and corner wear with some very small creases and scuffs. This copy came from the Bancroft Library at UC Berkeley though it is almost impossible to find traces of the Library bookplate which was the only marking. This was the second of two volumes of the Journals of David Gascoyne well-known British surrealistic poet and anti-facist, communist activist. This volume includes, besides Journal entries, an Introduction by Gascoyne a short story "Death of an Explorer" and an essay on Russian philosopher, Leon Chestov.
