Brown cloth with gilt decoration and title on front and spine. Corner, surface and edge wear with boards showing on corners and here and there on edges. Some whitish residue on front (see scan. ) Book is square and binding has no parting or tears, though there is a loose feel as is common is books of this size and age. ; B&W Illustrations; Folio 13" - 23" tall; 421 pages; Volume I only. Many illustrations and maps. This book is large and heavy and will require extra postage.
