Signed by French novelist and Cultural Affairs Minister, Andre Malraux, this is a John F. Kennedy First Day Cover from 1964. The stamp was issued as a memorial tribute to Kennedy. Malraux was a member of the French Resistance during WWII who later became Minister of Culture under Charles de Gaulle. Malraux was also a novelist and art critic. The connection to Kennedy seems highly appropriate. All autographs come with our l of authenticity to the initial buyer.; B&W Cachet of JFK; Oblong 48mo 3½" - 4" tall; 1 pages; This autographed photo came from the collection of Walter Glenn, Atlanta businessman (Geode at Lenox Square) and music collector. John Lee Hooker (1917-2001) was born in Coahoma County, Mississippi, near Clarksdale. He developed a distinctive boogie-woogie guitar style somewhat atypical of Mississippi blues players. He lived many years in Detroit becoming most popular in the 1970's and on. At the time of his death he was still quite popular and influential.
