Some toning or foxing. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 18 pages; Early report on the Raft of Red River, a large (over twenty miles long at times) , naturally produced logjam on the Red River, north and west of Idabel Oklahoma. In 1828, funds were provided to remove the raft and this report is one of the early surveys of the Raft for its future removal. The raft was not successfully cleared until the 1870's. Interesting bit of American history.
