Thomas C. David went to Denmark to study agriculture there and the two men wrote up their experiences with an eye toward how Georgia's education, especially in rural areas, could be improved. The result was published by the Georgia Department of Education in 1938 as part of the Georgia Program for the Improvement of Instruction in the Public Schools. The men seem to have been impressed with Scandinavia, especially in contrast to the condition of Georgia education and agriculture during the Depression.
