The book has only light wear and aging. Book is square and securely bound. The dustjacket has edge and corner wear with some small chips. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 175 pages; This is an interesting travel book by an Englishwoman who visited the US as WWII was beginning. This copy is somewhat unusual because it has a dustjacket and because the inscription on the ffep is to Graham Jackson. Jackson was a famous African - American musician who is most remembered from the photograph of his playing the accordian and crying as Franklin Roosevelt's body was taken from Warm Springs, Georgia. Jackson was known as Georgia's "state musician" until his death in the 1980's. Carlota had visited Georgia during her travels. ; Signed by Author
