Mr.
George Aubrey Williams of Marietta was for many years a noted bookseller and
antiques dealer. Over the years he
accumulated and sold several valuable collections. In his retirement, he began acquiring yet
another collection, this time focusing on significant Georgia and other
Southern material, with an emphasis on first editions in excellent condition. The books date from the late 18thcentury to the late 20th century, with the majority from the 19thcentury. About 45% of the books are listed in DeRenne, 40% in Georgiana, and 20% in Howes. The
Ridge Books of Calhoun, Georgia is pleased to offer Mr. Williams’ collection
for sale. It is an outstanding library
of historically important Georgia material to which additional volumes could be
added. The catalog may be seen by opening the link at the left side of this page. For additional information, please email us at info@theridgebooks.com.
