4 Baldwin, Joseph G. The Flush Times in Alabama and Mississippi
Americus Americus Book Company 1910 Reprint Hardcover Very Good with no dust jacket
Light, general edge, corner and surface wear along with light aging. Square and securely bound. This book is not dated, so 1910 is a guess. (There is an inscription dated 1928, but I have seen dates as early as 1914 in copies.) The Americus Book Company was an antiquarian book store in Americus, Georgia that occasionally published new editions of older works. The Flush Times, a series of sketches of frontier days in the old Southwest, was first published in 1853. The book is truly funny but also an astute portrayal of one of America's early frontiers. This book is also an unusual Georgia imprintfrom the first half of the 20th century. ; Small 8vo 7" - 8" tall; 330 pages
