Wraps have been crudely repaired with tape , most of spine is either missing or covered in tape, corners and edges chipped interior is browned and somewhat brittle, but seems to be complete. ; 12mo 7" - 7" tall; 313 pages; This is a book by the author of the immensely popular dime novel Dora Thorne. Charlotte Brame was English and wrote romances under her own name and Bertha M. Clay until her death in 1884 at 48. Street and Smith continued to use her name, spelled Braeme in the US, as a house name and published books written by several authors under that name. This may be one of them. On the back is an ad for Ayer's Cherry Pectoral cough medicine.
