Royal Order of Jesters Royal Feast , Detroit, MI, July 11, 1978 with Indiana Additions, Royal Order Of Jesters
1 Royal Order Of Jesters Royal Order of Jesters Royal Feast , Detroit, MI, July 11, 1978 with Indiana Additions
Detroit Royal Order of Jesters 1978 Softcover Very Good
Gilt cover is scuffed, pale green showing through, as if something stuck to the program and was pulled off. There is also a very small stain at the top along the interior at the staples. The cord seems to be original. The other two items are NF. The Royal Order of Jesters is a Masonic organization whose motto is "Mirth is King." It is described as a"fun degree, with no serious intent. " There are three pieces in this lot. There is a program to the Royal Feast, July 11, 1978 at the Detroit Plaza Hotel in Detroit, Michigan. This seems to have been a national event, with national officers listed as are special guests from other Masonic groups. The dinner menu and entertainment are also described. The second item is from Court 15 in Indianapolis, a folded list of the 1976 candidates printed on card stock and folded. The third is the program from Court 15's Annual Ladies' Party, March15, 1980. It is a 4 by 6 folded 6 page booklet. ; Narrow 8vo 8" to 9" tall; 4 pages

Receipt for the Head of a Wolf, Wilson, Isaac, J. P.
3 Wilson, Isaac, J. P. Receipt for the Head of a Wolf
Ohio Self-Published 1813 Softcover Very Good
Handwritten receipt for the head of a wolf. Some aging and traces of old folds. I have found a J. P. named Isaac Wilson in Guernsey County, Ohio in the early 19th century. Guernsey County is near the West Virginia border and bounties on wolf heads were offered in the area. Of course, I cannot be sure that this Isaac Wilson and the one I found are the same, so the place is a guess. The receipt reads: September the 11th day 1813 thus appeared Isaac Adle (?) before me, with the head of a wolf adjudged to be above six months old which he proved he caut and killed the 9th Instant in the County aforesaid, given under my name --- Isaac Wilson J. P. ; Oblong 48mo 3" - 4" tall; 1 pages
