In addition to light soil on the wraps, there are several small tears and a 1/4" chip in the last few pages. The fore edge is slightly rolled. The interior pages are a uniform cream color with some light browning on the edges. Staples are secure. ; B&W Drawings; Thin 8vo 8" to 9" tall; 36 pages; This softcover bock was published by the New York Times to mark the completion of its eight home since its founding in 1951, the Times Annex, located very close to the Times Building. The book focuses on both the history of the paper and the wonders of the new building, illustrated with drawings by Louis Ruyl. Features such as the hospital, restaurant, rest rooms and the club room. Employee benefits, from insurance to social events to discounted meals are described. Looks like a wonderful place to work! This copy came from a Chattanooga, Tennessee estate. Adolph Ochs purchased the Times in 1896. Ochs had been publisher of the Chattanooga Times. The description of the publisher's office says that scenes from Chattanooga were among the decorations.
