Randiana or Excitable Tales The Secret Life of an English Gentleman
1 Randiana or Excitable Tales The Secret Life of an English Gentleman
North Hollywood Branmdon House 1967 First American Edition Softcover Very Good+
Olive green wraps with lettering in yellow and orange. Book has light edge and corner wear but is square with an uncracked spine. One superficial crease on spine, but book appears unread. ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 150 pages; Introduction by John S. Murphy, Ph. D. Brandon House was one of several major publishers of so-called "sleaze" in the US during the late 1960's after the Supreme Court issued its ruling that allowed books with "socially redeeming" content to be published. (That's why so many of these paperbacks have an Intro by someone with a Ph. D. ) This is a reprint of a bit of Victorian erotica showing the underground of that era.

Mary-Lou from Mercer, Douglas, Max
15 Douglas, Max Mary-Lou from Mercer
New York The Gargoyle Press 1969 First Edition Softcover Very Good
The book is NF -- it is square with a secure binding, the spine is not cracked or creased and there is very little wear and aging. Relatively difficult title to find, especially in this condition. ; B&W Drawings; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 192 pages; Mary-Lou from Mercer by Max Douglas has a follow-up blurb that reads, "She escapes from reformatory only to find herself in the nether world of the whip and wanton sex ... " If you are clever, you might pass this off to a friend who went to Mercer College in Macon GA as a true tale of the old college days. Yeh right. Anyway, this bit of S&M is illustrated with B&W cartoon-like, but graphic drawings. Scarce title from Gargoyle, one of the smaller publishers of this sort of material.
