New York American Legacy Press 1972 2nd Printing thus Hardcover Near Fine in Very Good+ dust jacket
Book has some light toning on foredges and even lighter on some endpapers; otherwise, almost no wear. Jacket has some light edge and corner wear. It is about near fine. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 208 pages; Preface by James Biddle. Foreword by Carl Carmer. There is a gift inscription on the second free endpaper from Erica Glasener to Steve Wheaton. These two horticulturalist studied at Swarthmore where Wheaton wa the Director of Grounds for the Scott Arboretum. He later came to Georgia where he was in charge of the restoration landscaping at Barnsley Gardens an antebellum estate. Erica Glasener came to Georgia to work on the Barnsley project as well. She has gone on to become a PBS garden personality as well as an author and speaker. The inscription dates from 1985 when both were at Swarthmore.
