The book has some edge and corner wear and general aging. There is a small area of stain on the front foredge . A former owner has signed her name on and dated the ffep. ; B&W Illustration; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 362 pages; Will N. Harben was from Dalton Georgia, and most of his novels are set in a fictionalized version of north Georgia. He lived for many years in New York and published novels at the rate of one a year from the 1890's until around 1920. He was a friend of Edith Wharton.

The book shows light edge and corner wear with a little darkening along the edges. There is a former owner's name written on the back on the ffep. The dustjacket is in several pieces with some chips along the edges. However it is complete (except for the chips) and quite rare in any condition, having been produced on very low quality paper. The dustjacket is quite presentable in it mylar protector. (see scan) ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 305 pages; This copy of Harben's Northern Georgia Sketches, his first successful book is certainly rare and perhaps unique. It is signed by Harben on the title page and there is a dustjacket, mostly complete though in three pieces. Dustjackets are hard to come by for most of Harben's books, and this one, published in 1900, is particularly scarce. DeRenne, Vol. 3, 971; Georgiana, 85. ; Signed by Author
