Our website host, Chrislands, once again offers the option of merchant-processed credit or debit cards on the checkout page!  Thank you, Chrislands!  We also will be happy to take the information over the phone or by email, and  PayPal, checks and money orders are still accepted as well.  A note about packaging: we reuse clean, sturdy packing materials whenever possible.  Gift wrap is available.

.

Postal rates went up January 27.  We will not increase domestic rates, but International rates went up as much as 40% and our shipping rates reflect that increase.    Quotes for international shipping are based on using a padded flat rate Priority envelope.  Many books will not fit in one, so please inquire about shipping cost before ordering.   Whenever possible we will offer a lower 1st class rate for lighter packages to save you a little.

Mr. George Aubrey Williams of Marietta was for many years a noted bookseller and antiques dealer.  Over the years he accumulated and sold several valuable collections.  In his retirement, he began acquiring yet another collection, this time focusing on significant Georgia and other Southern material, with an emphasis on first editions in excellent condition.  The books date from the late 18thcentury to the late 20th century, with the majority from the 19thcentury.   About 45% of the books are listed in DeRenne,  40% in Georgiana, and 20% in Howes.

The Ridge Books of Calhoun, Georgia is pleased to offer Mr. Williams’ collection for sale.   It is an outstanding library of historically important Georgia material to which additional volumes could be added.  The catalog may be seen by opening the link at the left side of this page.  For additional information, please email us at info@theridgebooks.com.
